The Blackmon Brothers of Athens, GA are a bluegrass institution, featuring fresh originals and bringing new life to old standards. Their legendary musicianship shines through their tasteful bluegrass arrangements of non-bluegrass material. Audiences are delighted and thrilled to have both Blackmons on stage together again sharing the art that they love.

Banjo virtuoso Buddy Blackmon has played with Earl Scruggs, Jerry Reed, Chet Atkins, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, The Dillards and Charlie McCoy, and was a member of the staff band on the "Hee Haw" TV show. An accomplished songwriter, Buddy's song's have been recorded by Lee Ann Rimes, Trace Adkins, Connie Smith and Randy Travis, including Travis's first hit, "1982". After 25 years in the Nashville music scene, Buddy has returned to live in his hometown of Athens, GA where he produces the work of other artists.

David Blackmon is a well-known mandolin and fiddle player whose roots are firmly planted in traditional bluegrass. David has toured and recorded with Jerry Reed, is a founding member of the Blueground Undergrass, is a veteran of the Normaltown Flyers and has shared the stage with the likes of Vassar Clements, Sam Bush and Jerry Douglas. Having toured and recorded extensively with Widespread Panic, David is considered by many to be a pioneer of the "jamgrass" genre. The Blackmon Brothers are joined on lead guitar and vocals by Roy Finch (Uncle Ernie, Buddy Greene) & on upright bass by Rich Mullinax (16 Tons).
